Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and dedication to enhancing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) providers in the course of an engagement along with the agency's senior administrators in a strategic preparing session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% of your registered pupils while in the education and learning sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates the financial commitment government is making from the lives of weak and vulnerable small children is yielding a constructive influence in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe claimed.
Reflecting on current achievements, the Minister highlighted important milestones and ongoing priorities. She dedicated to urgently addressing the issue of everlasting Management srd grant payment dates appointments along with the shortage of personnel at most community offices.
Additionally, the Minister highlighted the necessity for community-based engagements and outreach functions.

With regards to SASSA methods, Tolashe urged management to prioritise increasing and modernising units to improve accessibility, queue management and stop fraud.
Moreover, the Minister has asked for SASSA Performing CEO, Themba Matlou, to deliver a plan that seeks to resolve the problems of payment channels in rural regions by giving another Alternative for payments.
"We dedicate ourselves to operate with sassa [SASSA]... We are offered at all times to address the difficulties with each other. All of us have to be Answer-driven in our course to make changes to the life of sassa grant payment dates our persons by concerted initiatives," the Minister mentioned.
